Little Victories: Third Assay

Method

I prepared both batches in parallel.
I used identical sized coffee pots a MIRA and a BODUM.

The MIRA was double-walled & insulated
So I immersed the glass BODUM in a water jacket.

Pyrex used as Water Jacket to maintain coffee temperature
I used used 28g of Little Victories and 25g of Allegro.
Hidden from me Hannah transferred the coffee into two different vacuum bottles
Coffee Pots assigned by lab assistant for unbiased testing

Results

I served myself from these vacuum bottles.
Hannah was able to confirm I correctly identified which brew was which.
The LV coffee looked slightly lighter than the Allegro (1/4 OF A STOP!!)
Fortunately the strength of flavour of each was about the same.
Maybe I need to repeat the test blindfolded!
The Little Victories aroma had a distinct "woodyness".
Maybe that's what the Little Victories marketeers label as lavender.
The overall enjoyment of Little Victories coffee was impaired by it.
SoisOverall the Allegro has the edge.

I also found that your mum's fine gingersnaps neutralize the LV woodiness!
Under these special conditions I can't  tell the difference!!

Acknowledgments

Needless to say research will continue with the next batch of gingersnaps!
Thanks again to your mum and Hannah for their contributions to this study.
And thanks for the LV coffee.

Love Dad
